  • Create a New Game and Win!

Post by Jordan on July 13th, 2011

Have you created a new Waboba game? Now through July 31st, we’re on the lookout for a Wabobian to share their new game as an extra way to have fun with our products. Be the first person to have your game featured on our website, blog, Facebook, and Twitter.

We’re all about having fun and sometimes you want to play by your own rules. Tell us what new Waboba game you invented when you play with your friends and family for a chance to win and have your game featured online. Write a simple description of your game using the Blast, Surf, Pro, Extreme, Flyer, or Street ball and post it on our Facebook page wall, or leave a comment below. Best game wins! If your game is chosen, we’d love for you to share video/pictures demonstrating to help share your game and include it on our YouTube channel. You’ll be famous!

For the sake of sharing ideas, here’s one I came up with. Put floating rings (hula hoops) in a pool or lake (works best in calm waters) and bounce a Waboba ball to try and get it in the rings. You could have different points per ring, like 1pt, 2pt, 3pts, depending on which ring you land in. Play up to 21 points. It’s a great way to test your Waboba skills and master the bounce. Try it!

  • We Proved It!

Post by Jordan on July 12th, 2011

A few weeks ago, we made a post on our Facebook page stating “FACT: The Waboba Towel hurts 10 times more than a regular towel when you whip someone with it.” Of course, we were challenged to prove it. So, Christian von Heland, CEO of Waboba Asia, stepped up to the plate to demonstrate in the video below. We should go ahead and have a moment of silence for his poor thighs.

Look closely, and you’ll see the mark resembles the Waboba “W”!

NOTE: The Waboba Towel is best used to dry yourself off and by no means do we suggest you try this too. It seems that whipping someone with a towel is a common, playful gesture, but from what you can see above, be careful doing it with the Waboba Towel!

  • TOSY on LIVE with Regis & Kelly!

Post by Jordan on July 7th, 2011

It’s a bird! It’s a plane! No, it’s TOSY! Earlier this year, in the USA, Waboba, Inc. was selected to be a distributor for TOSY’s AFO, which stands for Alien Flying Object. This unique item is for kids and adults and will be flying off shelves very soon in select retail locations. Especially because it was just featured on LIVE with Regis & Kelly’s Summer in the City series! You can watch it here. Just click on “Summer in the City – Toys” once you get there. Neat, huh?

  • New Waboba Surf and Street

Post by Jordan on April 13th, 2011

In case you haven’t met the new members of the Waboba family, here they are:

The Street is the first Waboba ball designed to hit the pavement. But as you can see, it’s not just any ball. Besides, how would a ball that bounces on the ground be a cool invention if it was nothing new? So we took it up a notch and created the Street to be a new ball with attitude. With it’s patented design and shape, it has an unpredictable bounce depending on how you throw it. The harder you throw, the straighter the bounce. The slower, the more wacky. Try different surfaces and run around to catch it. The other day, I played with it on open grass, which made for an exciting game considering the bumpy ground offers an added unpredictably. Then later, I decided to play a classic game of wall ball at the local library. Sadly, I got too excited and my ball landed on the roof. If I was playing with people who were masters at parkour (which this ball is perfect for), then I would have made them do their ninja-like moves to get on the roof to throw it down for me. But I didn’t. So maybe the janitor is playing with it now.

The Waboba Surf is the newest addition to our line of water bouncing balls. We love the challenges of the Extreme and the Pro, but realized that not everyone can handle their force, speed and bounce. We also know that kids love the Blast ball because it is softer and easier to play with. So, we created a ball to be like the Extreme, but with the softness and friendliness of the Blast that would play well in the ocean as well as in the pool. It’s great for all around family fun and for beginners, but even athletes enjoy playing with the Waboba Surf.

Both the Surf and the Street will soon be available online for purchase. Which one are you anxious to play with?

  • First Beach Day with Waboba Surf!

Post by Jordan on March 22nd, 2011

Here in the States, Charleston, SC to be in fact, we had our first beach day of the season over the weekend. It was 80 degrees and sunny, which made it a perfect day to put on our bathing suits! After months of grey and cold, it feels so good to dig your feet in the sand and feel all the vitamin D goodness from the sun warming you head to toe again.

As we know, a day at the beach isn’t a day at the beach without Waboba! The anticipation built, so it was time to step into the water and have a game with Waboba Surf – one of the newest balls added to the Waboba family. Of course, step into the water isn’t the best phrase; tip-toe is more like it as it was rather cold. But hey, after 5 minutes we didn’t even feel our feet anymore so it didn’t matter. It felt so good to just be in the water. Needless to say, the Waboba Surf is awesome to play with and I can’t wait for the water to be warmer so I won’t have to think twice about diving in and inviting people to come play with us!
