Here’s another video assembled from bits from the Surfing Hainan Open.
This was also my first chance to experiment with the “picture-in-picture” function in Power Director. In this video you’ll see that all kinds of people were getting into the ball, including some military gentlemen and two of the world’s most famous surfers – Jarrad Howse and Big Wave Hunter Mark Mathews. |

Who would have thought that a single videotape could cause so much trouble?
We had a fantastic time at the O’Neill Surfing Hainan Open, and recorded and documented everything on an HD camera, only to find that the crucial footage, including a mass Waboba bounce-off was all on a single tape that could not be found. |
||
What’s worse is that the remaining footage is fantastic, so the Waboba footage probably was too. We’ll never know.
Here’s a video made up from the footage we have left, including the slightest hint of Waboba in the background. For a better idea of what Waboba things went on at the event, watch the video inside this post here. |
I can’t resist it. I’ve been going through the photos from the O’Neill Surfing Hainan Open and let’s just say that this particular image stands out.
I suppose it’s hardly surprising that the country that brought you Kung Fu should also be the master of interesting stances when it comes to Waboba. These guys were throwing the ball very hard, so it’s probably not surprising that they should want to look out for their squishy bits.
There’s a full video of them in action here.
In the end of September Guangzhou MTR and Streets got even more congested with the 20 or so participants of the Waboba Conference in Guangzhou. Management from our 3 companies our partners and our PR firm met over a 5 day conference to talk about everything from new items to old ones and, of course, to meet and have fun!
I would like to take the opportunity to thank everyone who showed up for a great week with loads of input, ideas and thoughts. Lets continue to create! Click read more below to get a small selection of photos from the event!
